| The Drawing Room Tree |
Bringing out the Christmas decorations is a little bit different at the Taft house than at many others we know. There it consists of some of the finest antique trees and
ornaments, as well as toys and memorabilia, that you'll find on display at any museum.

| Antique Dolls and Toys |
The displays span all the way from the 1800s up to the 1950s, but most of the decorations fall within the period of the Taft home and interiors. Antique dolls are the perfect accessories for the feather trees and ornaments as they parade amongst the toys and decorate with glass garlands.

| Rudolph Memorabilia |
I was intrigued by the Rudolph display of memorabilia and books from the 1949 iconic song sung by Gene Autry. I know I received that book in a gift exchange from Robin Higgins when I was in grade school!

| The Cotton Fruit Tree with a Turner Painting Backdrop |
The historical rooms serve as the backdrops to the glass cases, one of which was of a cotton fruit tree. They were soft ornaments whimsically spun with pastel fibers from the collection of Margaret and Richard Guy that looked naturally frosted. It's a process that has made a comeback in modern day ornaments over the past few years.
What better way to get the whole family into the holiday spirit!
